Caring Workers

More than 200 UB faculty, staff and students pitched in as volunteers, working on a variety of community projects for the United Way's Day of Caring Aug. 18. UB opens first new campus housing in 25 years
Hadley Village, apartment-style complex on North Campus, will house 620 undergrads

As the people of Turkey continue to cope with last week's earthquake - temblor that so far has killed more than 12,000 and threatens to rival the country's most destructive quake that killed 33,000 people in 1939-the phones are ringing off the hook at UB's Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research.
