  • My husband and I are fortunate to live in a home with a view of Lake Ontario, and we always consider the “unofficial start of summer” to be our friendly competition to see who can spot the first lake freighter of the season. Whoever wins gets to pick where we go out for dinner!

  • The first thing I do to celebrate the beginning of the season is make sure my charcoal grill is cleaned and ready to go for another season. I can’t cook, so I’ve been trying to perfect my grilling skills for many years now!

  • My goal is to have my back patio set up by Memorial Day—awning up, flag flying, furniture out and grill at the ready.
