  • IAMT sessions to be held

    The Wellness and Work/Life Balance unit of University Human Resources and the Employee Assistance Program are offering two workshops on Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique (IAMT) to UB faculty and staff.

    The relaxation technique, which will be taught by Bharat Jayaraman, professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, helps participants reduce stress through simple yoga postures, breathing, visualization and sound.

    Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 23 in 210 Student Union, North Campus, and from 9 a.m. to noon July 9 in the dance studio in Clark Hall, South Campus.

  • Zielinski elected UBAA president

    Larry Zielinski of Elma, who earned two degrees from UB, has been elected to serve a two-year term as president of the UB Alumni Association.

    Zielinski, president of the Buffalo General Hospital and the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, received an M.B.A. in 1977 and a B.A. in sociology in 1975.
