Word of Mouth

Where is your favorite fall hiking spot?

  • Ann Marie Landel

There’s a great trail at the Niagara Falls Gorge in Niagara Falls, N.Y. It’s one of my favorite places to walk, especially during the fall season. You can walk along the water for the most part, and in some places you can go off the trail and sit on the huge rock formations to watch the water flow down the river. It’s very peaceful.

Buffalo’s Olmsted parks and parkways—what beautiful places to walk, enjoy the landscape and see the city.

I don’t have a favorite hiking spot, but I enjoy walking along Elmwood and Delaware avenues in Buffalo. Elmwood has great people-watching and Delaware has some great old buildings to look at.
