United University Professions (UUP) members may nominate themselves to receive a discretionary award by forwarding a self-nomination to their department chair or director by Sept. 4.

The Dependent Care Advantage Account, a New York State Flex Spending Account that allows workers to set aside up to $5,000 in pre-tax salary for eligible child care, elder care or disabled dependent care expenses that are necessary for the employee and his or her spouse to work, also is available to help employees pay for summer day camp expenses for children under the age of 13.
