Understanding Diversity Through Sociology

College of Arts and Sciences

Program Description

Understanding Diversity Through Sociology is a three-course, undergraduate micro-credential, that will allow you to signal to future employers an in-depth specialization in the study of diversity from a sociological lens. This program is open to anyone who would like to learn more about diversity in social institutions. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges arising from diversity in families, communities, schools and workplaces. Upon completion of this program, you will be well-equipped to think critically about power, diversity, inequality and marginality in U.S. institutions. This program can be completed in fewer than three semesters if more than one diversity course is taken at a time.
