Program Description

This Trauma-Informed Supervision micro-credential is for all types of supervisors who want to be trauma-informed in their interactions with staff. You will explore an eight component framework for trauma-informed supervision, which includes discussion of how trauma impacts the brain and behavior in the workplace, re-traumatization, the impact of the current events and how the trauma-informed values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment can be used by supervisors to support wellness and productivity of the workplace.

Special Requirements

This training is for all types of supervisors (administrative, supportive, clinical, etc.) who want to be trauma-informed in their interactions with staff. Participants are required to be affiliated with an organization that has an active contract with ITTIC for the trauma-informed supervision training, whether completing this micro-credential virtually (synchronously over Zoom) or in person. All participants will be required to attend all 12 hours of training and complete all assessments in order to be eligible for this micro-credential.
