Program Description

This micro-credential prepares professionals in the field of education to use evidence-based instructional practices in their classrooms and throughout their schools by learning about relevant reading research, models of learning, and extensive information about the Science of Reading in a 3-credit, master's level literacy class. After taking this course, individuals will be able to think critically about the research related to the Science of Reading Instruction and will have a deeper understanding of the pedagogical practices in elementary school that promote effective reading instruction.
