Program Description

The scholars program in the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is designed to develop the next generation of pharmacy leaders. This program is for doctor of pharmacy students with demonstrated excellence in academic achievement having an interest in postgraduate residency training. The scholars program provides enhanced scholarship, education/teaching and leadership experiences to better prepare students interested in residency training to excel in post-graduate training.

Special Requirements

This program is for doctor of pharmacy students with demonstrated excellence in academic achievement having an interest in postgraduate residency training. Students must not have unsatisfactory grades in required courses. Students must have documented history of professional organization involvement and career goals that align with the program. Points in a variety of categories will be awarded based on the student's experience and explanation of goals. Additional points will be awarded to students on the Faculty Merit and Dean's List. (One additional point for each semester on the Faculty Merit List and two additional points for each semester on Dean's List).
