Program Description

This micro-credential offers an opportunity to gain intensive foundational training in nonprofit board leadership and acquire the necessary skills to accelerate your board leadership opportunities. You will participate in an academic year of service as a non-voting board member of a Western New York nonprofit organization. You will develop an understanding of board governance, servant leadership, diversity and inclusion principles and inter-cultural leadership through classes, interactive discussions, reflection, and an action learning project. This micro-credential is available to students of the School of Management's MBA program.
