Kevin Hulme, operations director for the Stephen Still ISTL, attended the 2022 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC). Throughout the year, Hulme had worked with other organizers of I/ITSEC on technical subcommittees to develop workshops and other conference events. Hulme served as a member of both the tutorials and professional development workshops committees, and as a session deputy chair of the tutorials track.

Hulme and the rest of the UB team won the “Best Paper” award at the modeling and simulation (MODSIM) World 2022 Conference in May 2022 – another large annual NTSA meeting - and were presented with the award at I/ITSEC.

Hulme presented the award-winning paper Implementation of Live-Virtual-Constructive Workplace Setting to Enhance Occupational Success among Young Adults with ADHD, during I/ITSEC’s “Best From Around the Globe” event.

In addition to Hulme’s roles as organizer for various events, he also served as a coordinator for paired (Tutorial-Workshop) events, authored the tutorial for the I/ITSEC’s professional development primer: Modeling and Simulation Fundamentals, Certification and Contemporary Applications. Hulme also authored one of the conference’s featured papers Human Mobility 2049 – It’s Time to ACTT (Aeronautical Conceptualization for Tomorrow’s Transportation).

This is the second consecutive year a team of researchers from the Stephen Still ISTL has been recognized at I/ITSEC for its success. Hulme and a Stephen Still ISTL team won the “Best Tutorial” award at the 2021 I/ITSEC.
