The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET): ASPET-SURF offers students and postdoctoral fellows the chance to apply for a Travel Award to help defray the costs of travel and housing to attend the ASPET Annual Meeting at EB 2016. ASPET Travel Awards consist of a fixed sum of $600, registration (at the early registration rate), plus up to $400 in travel reimbursement provided upon submission of valid receipts after the meeting.
American Society for Microbiology (ASM): The goal of the ASM Undergraduate Research Capstone Program (UR-Capstone) is to “fulfill the later stages of undergraduate professional development” for underrepresented minority students (URM). This program seeks to enhance the presentation skills of students after their research experiences. The program will focus on enhancing presentations and networking skills, and provide students with resources to transition to disciplinary scientific meetings.
