About the iSEED Institute

A university-wide institute at UB, the Institute for Strategic Enhancement of Educational Diversity strives to build a culturally and intellectually diverse and academically inclusive community of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and staff.

iSEED focuses on excellence in education, engagement in research, mentoring and enhancement of professional development central to the UB mission.

The iSEED is supported through the E Fund by the Office of the Provost.

The iSEED was created and founded by Co-Directors: Dr. Margarita L. Dubocovich and Dr. Luis A. Colon, who served in this role from 2013 to 2022. The iSEED was originally funded by 3 E-Funds from  the Office of the Provost
