Global Energy Prize shared that Amit Goyal, SUNY Empire Innovation Professor and SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, is among 15 scientists from across the world shortlisted for the 2023 Global Energy Prize.
The award honors exceptional contributions to scientific and technological research and development in the energy sector. Goyal has been nominated in the New Ways of Energy Application category for his contribution to high-temperature superconductivity, and inventions to fabricate long lengths of high-performance superconducting wire for all large-scale energy-related applications of high-temperature superconductors.
