The Team Alice initiative at the University at Buffalo is named after a woman who lost her life in 2009 after she was prescribed a medication she shouldn't have been given.

The initiative provides vital experiential learning opportunities for UB nursing students, while working alongside faculty and community partners. Students strengthen their skills in population health, community engagement and culturally responsive care.

UB students from medicine, physical therapy, and pharmacy teamed up with D’Youville physician assistant students to collaboratively use their skills to ensure patient safety in our healthcare system.
