Michael J. Oldani, PhD, executive director of IPE since October 2024, discusses UB’s outstanding IPE student training pathway with local partners such as Kaleida, Children’s Hospital and Canisius University, with the goal of improving health outcomes through team-based care.

Ryan Krzyzanowicz, DAT, program director of the athletic training program at the University at Buffalo School of Public Health and Health Professions joined WIVB to discuss concussion protocol and upcoming concussion seminars while emphasizing the importance of having an interprofessional care team using evidence-based individualized care in order to have the best outcomes for student athletes.

The Team Alice initiative at the University at Buffalo is named after a woman who lost her life in 2009 after she was prescribed a medication she shouldn't have been given.

The initiative provides vital experiential learning opportunities for UB nursing students, while working alongside faculty and community partners. Students strengthen their skills in population health, community engagement and culturally responsive care.
