All students accepted into their PhD program of choice will have the opportunity to apply for admission into the IMSD@UB program. Our program provides funding, mentoring, and professional development for incoming PhD students.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the IMSD@UB, you must be:

  • An incoming PhD student in one of the participating programs
  • A citizen of the United States or a permanent resident of the US
  • You are eligible to apply after admission to the graduate program of your choice 

Program Highlights

The IMSD@UB provides financial support to scholars to cover:

  1. Stipend and Health Insurance ($35,000)
  2. Tuition scholarships 
  3. Travel to conferences
  4. Research training and skills development 
  5. Seminar speakers' invited by the scholars 
  6. Child care cost
