In December 2025, the Graduate School announced a requirement for departments to develop policies for all master's and doctoral degrees regarding AI use in dissertations, theses and capstones by Fall 2026.
The AI Policy Report Form (below) must be submitted for every master’s and doctoral degree program to submit finalized policy language, web resources and links to student handbooks.
This form allows for reporting of one or multiple graduate programs in a single submission. The collection of this information will be instrumental in understanding current campus position on the use of artificial intelligence in culminating graduate work and will help identify needs for additional resources and training as our campus keeps pace with the rapidly developing use of AI in higher education.
