A good mentor offers the type of support that their mentee needs. Mentoring can focus on academic, personal, career or any number of issues. Mentoring can involve just sitting and talking, or it can involve more directed guidance about accomplishing particular objectives. But mentoring is not just one directional. I have found that through many of my mentoring relationships (both as mentor and mentee), I have learned in both roles. I look forward to continuing to develop such relationships and provide such support to others.
