Global Ambassadors

I'm Lisa and I studied abroad in Costa Rica for 10 days studying the SDGs and sustainability! I have a passion for traveling and learning new things. Studying abroad was one of the greatest experiences and I hope to do it again. My goal is to answser any questions and encourage others to do it!

I am an anthropology major, with two minors in Italian and public health. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the spring and absolutely loved the experience! I wanted to be a Global Ambassador to help encourage and support other students with their journey of studying abroad.

Hi! My name is Sehej Chhabra and I’m a computer science major starting my combined MBA degree. I studied abroad in summer of 2025 at Korea University in Seoul. I chose to become a Global Ambassador because I’m passionate about travel, and fun fact, I’ve been to over 20 countries. Studying abroad ended up being one of the most life-changing experiences of my college career, and I want to help other students see that it’s worth taking the leap!

Hello, my name is Andréa. I studied abroad in Costa Rica, and I am on a neuroscience track. I wanted to become a Global Ambassador because I had the chance to grow up around the world, and I noticed how impactful diving into an unknown culture can be. I found my study abroad experience really interesting, as it offered me many personal insights into my own values. Therefore, I hope I can help pique the interest of other students!

My major is Occupational Therapy, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during fall 2025 semester! I want to be a global ambassador because I had such an amazing experience studying abroad I met so many amazing people and I want to encourage more people to partake in an experience that is as fulfilling as this.

Hello, my name is Alexis Justiniano I’m an English major. Studying abroad has always been an interest of mine since high school I was glad that I got to do that through the first year experience in Costa Rica, it was a big leap I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had a great time made new friends and memories and learned some new things. It didn’t have much to do with my major but I think it had everything to do with cultivating my experience as a college student, it opened my mind to a different style of learning something that was more hands on and enjoyable.

Hi! My name is Roja Khanam. I’m a Junior majoring in Law BA and Global Affairs BA at UB. I had an absolute blast in London while studying abroad as a first year student. I now believe the best time to go study abroad is when you’re young, thriving and feeling homesick. I am so glad to have experienced it early on and would like to encourage others to do the same!

Hi! I am Samara Kohn, and I am a senior at UB. I am majoring in psychology with a minor in management. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, for the spring 2026 semester. My goal is to encourage other students to go abroad and share my experience with others.

I am a sophomore majoring in business administration and wanting to explore more into international marketing. I want to be a Global Ambassador to hopefully experience another view on international marketing and the business aspect of study abroad.

I am a senior studying electrical engineering. I spent this past semester studying at ENSEA, an engineering school about 40 minutes outside of Paris. I wanted to be a global ambassador to help promote Education Abroad programs to engineering students, and show that studying abroad is more accessible than many people realize.

Max is a Junior studying International Business and Law. He hopes to pursue a Fulbright scholarship to teach English in Germany while applying to law school.

I’m Colin, a Computer Science major who spent a year studying abroad at Korea University in Seoul. I enjoy traveling, climbing, and meeting new people, and I wanted to become a Global Ambassador to help others take the opportunity to study abroad and experience life in a different country.

Issrat here!! I am a pre-law Junior studying Sociology. Studying abroad helped me cushion costs to discover France through a historically grounded perspective (Winter 2026 France: Revolution and Culture in Paris) and experience change and many seasons in Seoul, South Korea as a student at Korea University (Spring 2026). I wish to offer the clarity I have now to the person I was when I was first navigating these choices. It's a wonderful opportunity to study abroad, to have guidance for your travel from the program curriculum you're in and to have a community from home to accompany you as you explore the world you've experienced before only at a distance (through a screen I'd imagine). I hope to meet people like you who are curious about traveling, provide you with support as you make informed decisions, and hear about your experiences.

Hi! My name is Jade SeGuin, and I am a senior majoring in Psychology and Criminology. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, during the Fall 2025 semester, where I immersed myself in a new culture, made lifelong memories, and connected with people from all over the world. Studying abroad helped me grow both personally and academically, and it quickly became one of the most rewarding and transformative experiences of my college journey. I chose to be a Global Ambassador because I want to help other students discover the incredible opportunities that studying abroad has to offer. I'm excited to share my experience, answer questions, and encourage others to take the leap and create unforgettable memories of their own!
