Anderson Inside Out

A playful purple line illustration of an outdoor community gathering in a park-like setting. In the foreground, a child reaches upward toward floating bubbles while holding a bubble wand. Nearby, another figure stands beside a small trailer or mobile booth. Large leafy trees fill the upper portion of the composition, with musical notes and flowers scattered throughout the scene. The drawing uses minimal continuous lines on a soft off-white background, creating a light, festive atmosphere suggestive of music, movement, and public gathering.

Description

Anderson Inside Out is UB Anderson Gallery's annual summer celebration—a free, all-ages afternoon of art, music, food, and community. Timed to coincide with the University Heights Samuel P. Capen Garden Walk, it's a chance to explore the gallery inside and out, with live entertainment, activities, and more.

This year's event features live music from the Sean Conrad Trio, Adam Beiter, Pocketship, and the Stephen Guerra Duo; food from Lloyd Taco Factory and Over the Mooncakes; hands-on art-making for all ages; and guided tours of Clayton Pond: A Retrospective with the artist and Curator of Exhibitions Anna Wager. The Emerging Artist Showcase brings together early-career and student artists from across the Buffalo area to share new projects, artworks, and creative practices—with select works available for purchase. The Community Fair connects attendees with Buffalo-based nonprofits and neighborhood organizations sharing information about their programs, services, and opportunities to get involved.

Whether you've visited before or are stepping inside for the first time, we hope you'll join us. This day is for our neighborhood—and anyone curious about what UB Anderson Gallery is and does.
