Description

Attendees will create a fabric collage inspired by the bold colors, layered patterns, and figurative forms in Maria A. Guzmán Capron’s work. Using salvaged textiles, participants will design and assemble a custom wall hanging, drawing from their experience in the gallery to inform their compositions.

This workshop will be led by Buffalo-based artist Alison Cortes, whose practice spans textiles and sculpture. A UB graduate with a BA in Art History (2021), Cortes brings a thoughtful, material-driven approach to making and teaching.

Registration

Space for this workshop is very limited, and each participant must complete their own registration form to secure a spot. Once we reach capacity, a waitlist will be available. If you register but can no longer attend, please notify Emily Reynolds at eereynol@buffalo.edu as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
