Coinciding with a visit by His Holiness the Fourteenth Dali Lama, Rose Mandala is a temporal performance/installation by Chrysanne Stathacos that explores the ephemeral process of change and mortality within transient time using roses as the vehicle. Created by plucking dozens of roses apart petal by petal and placing them around a circular mirror, these ethereal environments wind through the space to transmit a moment of grace.
To conclude her exhibition, Stathacos will give a lecture and performance on Friday, December 1 at 6pm regarding her work and the exploration of the ephemeral process of change and mortality within transient time.
