Description

Open Wide features selections from the Collection of Morton G. Rivo, D.D.S., UB School of Dental Medicine class of 1957. An exhibition of over 70 prints, drawings, photographs, and artist’s books related to the practice of dentistry, from early woodcuts by early European masters and satirical Victorian engravings to 20th-century works that explore the commonly held notion of dentist as sadistic inflictor of pain, Open Wide explores dentistry as an art form.
