Meth helps spread HIV in infected users. UB researchers have presented the first evidence that the addictive drug methamphetamine increases production of a docking protein that promotes the spread of the HIV-1 virus in infected users.

Spiritual aspect of healing. Expanding the definition of health beyond the physical to include social, psychological and spiritual well-being was the topic of last week's UBThisSummer lecture.

Buffalo Film Seminars set. "The Thief of Bagdad," a classic adventure tale featuring "swashbuckler" star Douglas Fairbanks Jr., will open the 13th edition of the Buffalo Film Seminars.

Japanese visit ADHD program. Nineteen visitors from Japan were on campus last week to observe UB's innovative Summer Treatment Program for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learn about state-of-the-art treatments for the disorder.
