UB to offer undergraduates summer research program

Undergraduates from Western New York will have an opportunity this summer to participate in the inaugural session of a new biomedical-research training program at UB funded by a $600,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health. » Full Story

"Architectural scrapbooks." "Corners," an exhibit showcasing "architectural scrapbooks" constructed by first-year students in the School of Architecture and Planning, is on display in the Dyett Gallery in Hayes Hall.

Simulated earthquakes to test models. Civil engineering students from five universities will put their high-rise building models to the test on Saturday on the shake table at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences' Structural Engineering and Earthquake Simulation Laboratory.

Music memorabilia goes online. The Music Library has mounted an online exhibition of its J. Warren Perry Music Memorabilia Collection.

Approving assessment plan. The Faculty Senate Executive Committee yesterday approved UB's general education assessment plan.
