FSEC offers input on improving academic support services

Grant funds new center. A $220,000 grant from the Oishei Foundation will provide start-up expenses for a Center for Augmented Communication in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences.

Documenting history of UB music. An exhibition in the Music Library features photos by Irene Haupt, unofficial photographer of the Department of Music.

Murcutt to deliver Clarkson Lecture. Pritzker Prize-winning architect Glenn Murcutt, the 2004 Will and Nan Clarkson Visiting Chair in Architecture, will speak on Wednesday.

Rehnquist's legacy. If Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist soon retires, he will be remembered for his efforts to limit federal powers, as well as his dissent in the Roe v. Wade case, a UB legal expert says.

Architecture students take top honors. A team of three graduate students in the School of Architecture and Planning has been selected as one of three first-place winners in an important international design competition.

Medicine and metaphysics. The Department of Philosophy will bring together some of the most prominent figures in the philosophy of medicine during a conference to be held Saturday and Sunday in the Center for Inquiry.
