Oates captivates UB audience

Prolific author and Lockport native Joyce Carol Oates spoke about her upbringing, her craft and art, success and human nature on Tuesday as part of the Distinguished Speakers Series. » Full Story

Sterilizing contaminated air. A team of UB scientists and engineers has developed a device that can safely and inexpensively destroy airborne biological agents and has the potential to eradicate a wide range of pathogens, such as anthrax and SARS.

Goodin to speak at Baldy series. Robert Goodin, a major contemporary political philosopher and theorist, will speak at the Baldy Center's Faculty Seminar Series on March 12.
