Nursing school receives endowment for scholarships

"Cutting-edge" lectures. The College of Arts and Sciences will reach out to high school students this spring with a lecture series aimed at showcasing UB, as well as increasing public awareness of rapidly advancing fields.

Linking climate extremes and malaria epidemics. A paper authored by UB biologists is the first to demonstrate a strong correlation between climate variability and an increase in malaria epidemics in the African highlands.

Dental school reaccredited. The School of Dental Medicine has been reaccredited for another seven years, the maximum time allowable for a dental school.

Working to improve U.S. News ranking. President John B. Simpson told the Faculty Senate Executive Committee yesterday that he is committed to improving UB's ranking in U.S. News and World Report.
