UB dodges budget bullet, Capaldi tells FSEC

Trustees name Simpson UB president. It's official: The SUNY Board of Trustees on Tuesday named John B. Simpson as UB's 14th president.

Honored by SUNY. Four UB faculty members recently were honored by SUNY for significant accomplishments in their respective academic fields.

A friend in Albany. Provost Elizabeth D. Capaldi tells the Professional Staff Senate that UB will have a staunch supporter in Albany when she begins her new job as SUNY vice chancellor and chief of staff to Chancellor Robert L. King.

Environmentalist of the Year. The New York State affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation has named UB its "Environmentalist of the Year" for its extremely successful effort to buy wind energy.
