  • UBCCC offers summer camp

    The UB Child Care Center is offering a summer camp for children ages 5-8 at its North Campus site.

    The camp, which will run from June 27 through Sept. 2, is open to children of UB faculty, staff and students. Hours are 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Tuition is $200 per week; a registration fee of $40 per child is required. Full- and part-time spots are available.

    The camp will offer weekly field trips, swimming on campus and nutritious boxed lunches and snacks.

    The UBCCC has been offering quality child care to UB families for more than 20 years. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

  • UUP to hold spring meeting

    The Buffalo Center Chapter of United University Professions, the union representing UB faculty and professional staff, will hold a spring membership meeting from 5-8 p.m. April 19 in Sean Patrick’s, 3480 Millersport Highway, Getzville.

    A cash bar will take place from 5-7 p.m.; a buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

    The meeting will follow dinner.

  • Preventing burnout focus of webinar

    Learn how to prevent burnout by attending the “Surge Protection: Preventing Burnout” webinar presented by NYS Balance, a free resource and referral service available to New York state employees.

    The free webinar will take place from noon to 1 p.m. April 12 in 120 Clemens Hall, North Campus.

    Participants will learn to identify sources and symptoms of stress and examine strategies to build a plan to avoid burnout at work and at home.
