  • Our family gravitates to the original Anderson’s on Sheridan Drive where there’s something for everyone. While I don’t eat a lot of ice cream myself (used to work at an ice cream parlor), one of my most vivid taste memories is the cinnamon ice cream from the Quaker Bonnet in Allentown. My favorite birthday dessert as a child was their cinnamon ice cream in a “Mom-made” meringue cup topped with Quaker Bonnet hot fudge and meringue kisses. Very sweet!

  • My favorite ice cream place is Friendly’s on Maple Road.  Mint chocolate chip in a sugar cone…The taste of summer! To me, it doesn’t get any better than that!

  • The best spot to go for ice cream on a hot summer day is Kone King. There are two locations; one in East Aurora and the original one in West Seneca. They have delicious soft-serve ice cream in a variety of flavors, and their milk shakes and sundaes are great. In the East Aurora location, you can eat in the store or get your ice cream to go.

Hibbard's Custard in Lewiston is the best! Their custard is not at all like soft-serve ice cream, but rather like an extra-rich ice cream! I've never tasted anything else like it! In addition to serving cones/dishes of custard, they also have many flavors in pints available for purchase.

If you are talking about hard ice cream, it's best to eat at home. Perry's is way cheaper if you buy it in the store, so you can eat tons more for less money, and you can mix flavors to your heart's content!

Antoinette's on Transit Rd. has delicious homemade ice cream and toppings. They make the best sundaes.

Baehr's Ice Cream Cottage on Rt. 18 in Appleton, N.Y. The ice cream is Perry's, the setting is heavenly.
