Vincent O’Neill, associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, College of Arts and Sciences, is directing a Torn Space Theater production of “Endwords” May 9, 15, 16 and 17 at the Adam Mickiewicz Dramatic Circle, 612 Fillmore Avenue. The play is an adaptation from the works of Samuel Beckett by O’Neill and his late brother, Chris O’Neill.

Mantha “Minnie” Wyse, director of development for the School of Social Work, ran the Boston Marathon on April 21 in an impressive time of 4:19:01. She finished 479th among all women running in the country’s most competitive marathon.

Claude Welch, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Political Science, was awarded the Lisa Hertel Award by the Political Science Undergraduate Student Association. The award is given annually to the outstanding teacher in the department, based on student vote.
