Word of Mouth

Where is the best place on campus to watch spring unfold?

Send your response to ub-word-of-mouth@buffalo.edu and we’ll publish the responses we receive in the next online UB Reporter.

  • The creek that runs across Frontier Road near the Newman Chapel. You can watch the foliage begin to come out and also see the migrating spring birds, like the warblers.

    Connie Holoman
Assistant Vice President for University Relations
    Division of External Affairs

  • I’m partial to the pond that the Ellicott Complex surrounds. That’s partly because I can see it from my office, but mainly because I like the look of the tousled willows greening up and the ducks returning.

    Neil Coffee
    Assistant Professor
    Department of Classics

  • The parking lot on the South Campus that’s leased by the NFTA. When the weather gets warmer, we see fewer cars in the lot. When I see fewer cars in the lot, I see an opportunity for a stress-free, parking-spot-search experience. What could be more beautiful than that!

    Vince Clark
    Director
    Office of Community Relations

Readers weigh in on last week’s question.

What speaker or performer would you like to appear at UB?

There are so many… Jakob Dylan, Enya, The Chieftain’s or Rodrigo & Gabriella are some that would be great!

Administrative Assistant
