Which local restaurant makes the best burgers?

  • Stacie Hashem

Black & blue (5493 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville) has the best hamburger in town as far as I am concerned. Their black & blue burger is to die for. It comes with smoked bacon and blue cheese. And at $6.50 for the burger with a pile of fries, it is a great place to go for a cheap lunch.

There’s a little place on Transit Road called Grovers Bar and Grill (9160 Transit Road, East Amherst) that makes really good burgers. The burgers are huge and the beer selection is good. I would be very impressed with somebody that could finish an entire burger in one sitting.

The absolute best hamburgers are at the Poppyseed Restaurant in the McKinley Plaza in Hamburg. If you're in East Aurora, Charlie's Diner on Main Street has great burgers, too.
