Volleyball

Kus named new head coach

Sally Kus, a veteran coach at the collegiate, high school and club levels, and perhaps the most-recognized name associated with the sport of volleyball in Western New York, has been named head volleyball coach at UB.

She replaces Nadine Lilavois, who resigned after three seasons with the Bulls.

Kus comes to UB after four successful seasons coaching at Daemen College. She was named Conference Coach of the Year in 1999 and 2000, and guided the Lady Warriors to a 27-9 overall record and a 19-4 conference mark this past season. Prior to taking over the reins at Daemen, Kus transformed the Sweet Home High School volleyball program into a national powerhouse.
