Teng Wu, assistant professor in UB’s Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Department will now serve on the editorial board for Structural Engineering International (SEI).
The SEI is the quarterly journal distributed by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). Wu was appointed to the position after consideration from the editorial board of the SEI and the IABSE technical committee.
In his position on the board, Wu will handle the review process for manuscripts to be featured in the journal. SEI currently has 14 editorial board members worldwide.
Wu is currently a member of IABSE, and received the Association’s award recognizing “outstanding achievements in the field of structural engineering, in research, design or construction,” earlier this year.
The IABSE is a scientific technical association, founded in 1929, with members from 100 countries. The Association deals with all aspects of structural engineering.
Wu joined UB in 2014 after completing his PhD at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests include nonlinear and transient aerodynamics, nonstationary winds, fluid-structure interaction, reduced-order modeling, hurricane hazard modeling, climate change and other topics.
