EERI NYNE - ASCE Mini-Symposium and Panel Discussion
The Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering will have a strong presence at an event on May 30 held by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Attendees can earn 4 PDHs for this symposium.
Professor Andrew Whittaker and alumna Aspassia “Sissy” Nikolaou (PhD 1998), PE will be featured prominently at the EERI New York Northeast Chapter – ASCE Metsection Infrastructure Group Mini-Symposium and Panel Discussion: 2016 Mw 7.8 Muisne, Ecuador Earthquake: 1 Year Later.
Lieutenant Colonel Enrique Morales, who will have his PhD from CSEE conferred in June, is also a speaker at the event. Morales is from Ecuador and returned home shortly after the 2016 earthquake to assess the damage.
The Symposium takes place on Tuesday, May 30 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the General Society Library of Mechanics & Tradesmen on 20 West 44 Street in New York, N.Y. 10036.
