Become an International Admissions Ambassador

Ambassadors 2018.

The 2018 International Admissions Ambassadors

The Office of International Admissions is looking for friendly, responsible and enthusiastic undergraduate students from around the world to become UB International Admissions Ambassadors.

Imagine yourself as the voice of UB worldwide!

Ambassadors will communicate through phone calls and emails with prospective international students in order to advise them about:

  • choosing UB,
  • making tuition deposits, and,
  • any concerns or questions the prospective student may have about UB, such as housing, student life, etc.

You can play an important role in answering questions and encouraging the selection of UB as the college choice of international students around the world.  You can make our university more accessible by being a prospective student’s personal connection to UB.

What we expect

Ambassadors’ hours of participation in the program will be in the morning (7-9 AM), evenings (5-9 PM) and some Saturdays to accommodate international time zones.

Ambassadors should expect to dedicate approximately 6-8 hours per week to this program beginning in January, and going through May, be able to be back on campus for Fall International Orientation, with opportunities to continue working in Summer 2019.

Who should apply

Prospective Ambassadors will be undergraduate students with:

  • minimum 3.0 CGPA
  • excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • fluency in at least one language other than English,
  • knowledge and enthusiasm about UB, and,
  • a responsible and self-motivated work ethic.
