Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) Foundation Fellowships

Overview

The GWIS National Fellowships Program offers fellowships to help increase knowledge in the natural sciences and to encourage research careers in the sciences by women. Each year they distribute approximately $50,000 in fellowships funds to five deserving women scientists.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Be a woman conducting hypothesis-driven research in STEM, life science or related social science fields at an institution in the U.S. or abroad.
Hold a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
Demonstrate outstanding ability and promise in research.
Demonstrate financial need for research funding.
Be a member of GWIS by the application deadline.
