My research centers on the communication of risk information related to science, health, and environmental issues. I am particularly interested in how cognitive and affective evaluations of risk influence individuals’ decision making. Much of my research focuses on social cognitive variables that influence information seeking and processing, health decision making, and public perception of environmental and health risks. Some of my recent research projects involve climate change, energy, the H1N1 pandemic, and cancer clinical trial.
