COM Graduate Student Wins Art of Research Competition

UB Communication PhD student, Kuei-Chun Liu won Grand Prize at the Art of Research competition in April of 2023.  The Art of Research competition celebrates the extraordinary research of University at Buffalo graduate students and postdoctoral scholars through a showcase of original images highlighting the inherent beauty in research, scholarship and creative activity. The Art of Research competition seeks to provide a stage for researchers from all disciplines to make their research accessible to broad public audiences.

Kuei-Chun created a visualization of hashtag activism via the #TaiwanCanHelp campaign, which called for the international community's attention and support for Taiwan's inclusion in the World Health Organization during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their submission was awarded grand prize and was on display at the Buffalo Museum of Science in May 2023.
