Be part of the legacy

Buffalo has long inspired great artists like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Mark Twain, both of whom called Buffalo home. Our literary legacy continues to thrive, through one of the nation’s top literary presenters, the Just Buffalo Literary Center:

  • BABEL series brings four of the world’s most important authors to Buffalo each year
  • Silo City Reading Series featuring some of the most dynamic poets from Buffalo and beyond
  • 100,000 Poets & Artists for Change On this one day, over 100,000 poets and artists from around the world gather to promote social, environmental and political change.

Nicknamed “The City of No Illusions” by graphic artist Michael Morgulis, Buffalo has a long history of involvement in people’s movements and its artistic community continues this tradition.
