"As a consultant at the CEW, I regularly meet incredible students with interesting and diverse backgrounds. I focus on beginning each consultation by getting to know the writer, their background, their goals and their perspectives. I believe that this communication empowers the writer and often connects them to and allows them to take ownership of their research. My role guiding students in their individual writing journeys is one of my favorite parts of working at the CEW. Creating enduring relationships with students from diverse backgrounds and various stages of writing has been incredibly rewarding. Working at the CEW has been a major highlight of my graduate study at UB."
