SHARE THANKSGIVING WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Buffalo area residents are being sought to share their Thanksgiving meal with international undergraduate and graduate students and scholars at UB who would otherwise spend the holiday alone.

Many of the students are newcomers to Buffalo or the U.S. and aren't familiar with the Thanksgiving event. A few of the older students and scholars are here with their spouses. Some also have children.

Every effort is made to match the students, who represent varied fields of study and interest, with a host individual, couple or family with similar occupations, hobbies or interests. All the students speak English.

Hosts should be prepared to provide guests with transportation to and from the meal. They should also consider having at least two students as their guests.

Individuals or families interested in sharing their Thanksgiving with students should call Sheila Lewis with the International Friendship Program in the UB Office of International Education at 645-2258 before Nov. 17.
