GEM Research Day

The UB Genome, Environment and Microbiome (GEM) Community of Excellence held its first Research Day on June 14, welcoming dozens of faculty, staff, students and community members to the Downtown Campus to learn about genomic and microbiomic study underway at the university. The event at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences featured poster presentations and lectures by UB faculty, and a keynote address on how nutrition influences the microbiome of newborn children by University of Rochester faculty member Steven Gill.
