UB on the Green, the university's free outdoor event celebrating summer in the South Campus neighborhood, will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9 at Rotary Field, South Campus.

Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic meal, lawn chairs and blankets. Refreshments will be available for purchase from  Lloyd Taco Trucks and the Anderson's Frozen Custard food truck.

Big City Horns will perform at 6 p.m. Hands-on activities, dynamic demonstrations and workshops also will be provided.

Tabling opportunities are also available, especially for UB offices that offer community-focused programs.

To apply for a table, email communityrelations@buffalo.edu with your organization's name and the name, phone number and email address for a contact person. In addition, provide a brief description of tabling subjects and activities, along with special considerations such as power access or extra tables and chairs.

Rotary Field is located on the Bailey Avenue side of South Campus, across from the Buffalo VA Medical Center. Free parking is available in the NFTA Park and Ride lot, as well as the Townsend parking lot on the South Campus.

UB on the Green is a family-friendly, alcohol-free festival organized by UB's Office of Government and Community Relations.
