Secure File Service

Secure File Service is a service providing whole disk encryption on Windows desktops and laptops, and CIFS file share encryption on designated file servers. This service addresses the requirements for securely storing Restricted Data and/or Personally Identifiable Information.

Intended Audience: Faculty and staff who requested access via their IT Support Staff

Special requirements: Requires Symantec Drive Encryption or Symantec File Share Encryption software available only to IT Staff for workstation and server installation.

Availability: 24 hours daily

Support: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday - Friday (excluding University holidays and announced University closure) for provisioning and other service requests; 24x7 for server side incidents and outages

Maintenance Schedule: 4:30 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. ET Thursdays
