Setting Courses to Unavailable

Make your entire course, or parts of your course, unavailable to enrolled students.

About Unavailable Courses

If a course is made unavailable, enrolled students will not be able to access the course. Enrolled Instructors, Course Builders, Teaching Assistants and Graders will still be able to access the course.

Making the Whole Course Unavailable

  1. Go to Control Panel > Customization > Properties.
  2. Select No under Set Availability.

Making Part of Your Course Unavailable

  1. Select Control Panel > Customization > Tool Availability.
  2. Complete page options.
  3. Click Submit.

Making Course Unavailable to a single User

  1. Select Control Panel > Users and Groups > Users.
  2. Locate the user that you want to make the course unavailable to.
  3. Use the drop-down menu next to username > Change User's Availability in Course.
  4. Select No from the drop-down box next to Available (this course only) and click Submit.
