Content Areas

This help website is only for Blackboard.

UB's primary Learning Management System is now UB Learns, powered by Brightspace.

These are areas where you create course content (e.g., Assignments, Syllabus, Tests, etc.). The Course Menu is where content areas are located. Some examples of Content Areas are Course Documents and Assignments.

  • Course Menu
Customize the menu for your course.
  • Creating Course Content Areas
Use content areas to organize course materials.
  • Content Folders
Folders are useful for organizing content. Once a folder is created, content and additional subfolders may be added to it.
  • Creating Module Pages
Module Pages contain Course Modules that you select from a list. A Course Module can be a tool, such as a calculator, or it can display dynamic information such as alerts and announcements. Course Modules can be added to Module Pages only.
  • Course Files
The Course Files area is a repository of all course documents.
